Damoh, In celebration of the 11th International Yoga Day, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Damoh organized a meaningful and enlightening seminar on yoga, embracing this year’s official theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. The event witnessed active participation from enthusiastic school students, who engaged deeply in the learning experience.

The seminar commenced under the able guidance of the respected Principal Mr. Dharmendra Singh, who emphasized the importance of inculcating yoga not just as a practice, but as a way of life. Vice Principal Mrs. Uma Swami also graced the occasion with her encouraging presence, motivating students to take full advantage of the opportunity.
The entire seminar was smoothly anchored and beautifully organized by Mrs. Aakansha Suyal, who ensured that the arrangements and flow of the event were seamless and student-friendly.
The core of the session was a highly informative and inspiring talk delivered by Dr. Vaibhav Choudhary, a well-known yoga and naturopathy Doctor. He began by introducing students to the meaning of the word ‘Yoga’, followed by its definition, its types, and an in-depth explanation of Ashtanga Yoga (the Eight Limbs of Yoga).
Dr. Choudhary especially focused on the first limb – Yama, which includes vital ethical principles:
- Ahimsa (Non-violence)
- Satya (Truthfulness)
- Asteya (Non-stealing)

His session was interactive, thoughtful, and tailored to help students connect yogic philosophy with daily life. The young minds listened attentively, asked questions, and absorbed the lessons with sincerity. By the end of the seminar, the students promised to practice these timeless values in their lives and to adopt yoga as a regular habit for physical and mental well-being.
The seminar concluded on a grateful note with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Jyoti, who appreciated the efforts of all contributors and reminded students of the lifelong benefits of yoga.
A special thank you goes to Ashish Sir and Neetesh Sir for providing seamless technical support, which ensured the seminar’s smooth execution.
Gratitude to all teachers, staff, and students for making this seminar a success.
Let us continue walking the path of yoga – for a healthier self and a harmonious society.
